In December 2021, we were awarded the 2021 Singapore Best Workplaces Award by Great Place to Work. Surprisingly, we ranked 7th out of all the small businesses! The award validates our efforts to build a thriving place to learn and grow. It also recognises the tireless efforts our team makes to build a business for good.

As a social enterprise, our goal is to give back to the community and make a positive impact on as many lives as we can. Creating employment and jobs for people in marginalised groups is a huge priority for us. This led us into a partnership  with Yellow Ribbon Project (YRP) to provide training and employment opportunities for inmates and ex-offenders so as to increase their employability skills and give them a second chance to rehabilitate in society. Another organisation that we have worked with is The Social Kitchen, where we have provided  employment opportunities to beneficiaries including the elderly, single mothers and people with special needs. 

Besides inclusive hiring, we also provide great employment benefits to our full-time employees such as flexible working arrangements,  a flexi-benefit plan, which is a comprehensive and competitive healthcare and benefits package. We have introduced FLEX credits, a benefits package that allocates each employee with an annual credit to spend on their various health and wellness needs. The coverage extends from childcare expenses to gym memberships, etc. Since we spend a good part of our lives at work, we wanted to make sure that each team member’s wellbeing was being taken care of and provided with the necessary tools to keep healthy and happy. 

We believe that our strength lies in our people and our culture. We’d like to think that we are a fun bunch with birthday celebrations in the office, work lunches and outings, volunteering, mahjong sessions, and even overseas retreats (pre-COVID, of course). As much as possible, we seek to build an environment where it is safe for everyone to share their ideas and where they find that their work is meaningful.
